Vision & Purpose
This concept-driven course explores the strategic impact of English pronunciation on corporate communication and overall business performance. It addresses challenges employees may face in communicating clearly and confidently, which can directly influence collaboration, process adoption, and operational outcomes.

The course demonstrates how improving pronunciation skills translates into practical workplace capabilities, enabling employees to communicate more consistently and effectively in professional settings.

Using Articulate Rise, I developed an interactive, outcome-focused learning experience that integrates practical exercises and skill-building activities. The design highlights the connection between employee language development and measurable organizational performance.
Learning Focus
The learning focus of this project is designed to communicate the direct link between English pronunciation and organizational performance. The course helps corporate decision-makers understand:

-
The role of clear pronunciation in effective business communication and the development of global partnerships.
-
The costs of neglecting language proficiency training, including reduced productivity and missed revenue opportunities.
-
How improving employees’ pronunciation can generate measurable business benefits and ROI.

The primary objectives guide learners through the challenges organizations face when communication gaps exist and demonstrate how targeted training can improve performance:

-
Highlight the significance of English as the global business lingua franca.
-
Explain why some companies may underinvest in language proficiency development despite clear benefits.
-
Illustrate the tangible impact of miscommunication on business outcomes and show how pronunciation training can strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.

These objectives provide a clear framework for improving workplace communication and aligning employee capabilities with strategic business goals.
Target Impact
This course is designed for HR professionals, business leaders, and Learning & Development (L&D) teams within organizations that employ multilingual and non-native English-speaking employees.

It addresses communication challenges that can arise when English pronunciation affects clarity and workplace understanding, and it emphasizes the strategic value of investing in pronunciation training to improve performance, collaboration, and organizational outcomes.
Key Concepts
This section explains the concept of ROI and how it can be affected when organizations do not invest in English pronunciation training.
A situational example demonstrates the consequences of poor pronunciation: a company representative attempting to close a deal struggles with mispronunciations, resulting in confusion, miscommunication, and a lost sale.
This scenario highlights the direct impact on organizational performance and revenue potential.
Knowledge checks are embedded throughout the course to reinforce key concepts and allow learners to reflect on the relationship between pronunciation, communication, and business outcomes.
A summary quiz at the end reviews core topics, enabling learners to apply their understanding of how pronunciation training supports clearer communication, stronger client relationships, and improved organizational effectiveness.

The course underscores the strategic importance of investing in pronunciation training to enhance employee communication, strengthen collaboration, and minimize misunderstandings, demonstrating its value for overall business performance.
Interaction
The course was created using Articulate Rise, utilizing the platform's pre-built templates to create a streamlined, responsive experience. Since Rise’s templates are optimized for mobile devices, I did not need to create wireframes, outlines, or visual mockups for this project.

Instead, I focused on developing engaging content within the framework provided by Rise, ensuring the design was consistent and professional without the need for extensive customization. This approach allowed me to concentrate on creating content that was not only visually engaging but also optimized for a meaningful learning experience.
Big Picture
This course emphasizes English pronunciation training as a strategic driver of business performance. Drawing on experience directing language programs for professionals, it addresses how even highly skilled non-native speakers can face communication challenges that affect workplace efficiency, client interactions, and overall organizational outcomes.
The course translates language skills into actionable capabilities, equipping employees to communicate clearly and confidently in global business contexts.

The key insight is that mispronunciation can create communication barriers, limiting employees’ effectiveness and potentially impacting revenue. The training highlights the value of integrating language development into broader enablement and learning initiatives to enhance performance, adoption of best practices, and measurable outcomes.

By improving pronunciation, employees increase confidence, reduce misunderstandings, and strengthen collaboration across teams. While the course illustrates potential benefits, real-world implementation and assessment are necessary to validate impact and quantify ROI.

Ultimately, this training serves as both an actionable learning solution and a strategic initiative: developing language capabilities empowers employees to deliver results, improve business relationships, and support organizational success.
