My Learning Design Framework
Welcome.
This section explains the thinking behind the learning projects in my portfolio. Each project shows how I structure content, define learning objectives, and translate complex topics into clear, practical learning experiences.
My approach to learning design is grounded in my experience directing English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. I have developed course curriculums, structured learning pathways, and translated complex language concepts into practical instruction for adult learners.
When designing learning materials, I begin by identifying the learning challenge and the needs of the intended audience. From there, I define learning objectives and organize the content using instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
I focus on presenting information in a logical sequence, simplifying complex ideas, and using visuals and interactive elements that support comprehension and engagement. Many of these projects also reflect my experience working with multilingual learners, where clarity, context, and accessibility are essential.
I also use AI to assist with research, content development, and visual creation during development. The projects in this portfolio demonstrate how these methods are applied using industry-standard authoring programs and graphic design to build structured, interactive learning experiences.
